Palæstinensere opfordrer til boykot.

Det palæstinensiske civilsamfund opfordrer til boykot, sanktioner og afvikling af investeringer for at presse Israel, indtil det efterkommer international lov og universelle menneskerettighedsprincipper.

Et år efter den historiske vejledende kendelse fra den Internationale Domstol (ICJ), der dømte Israels Mur bygget på besat palæstinensisk jord ulovlig, fortsætter Israel byggeriet af den kolonialistiske Mur i total ligegyldighed overfor Domstolens beslutning.

Efter 38 års israelsk besættelse af den palæstinensiske Vestbred (incl. Østjerusalem), Gaza-striben og de syriske Golan-højder, fortsætter Israel med at udvide de jødiske bosættelser.

Det har ensidigt annekteret det besatte Østjerusalem og Golan-højderne, og er nu de facto ved at annektere store dele af Vestbredden ved hjælp af Muren.

Israel forbereder også – i skyggen af dets planlagte ”omgruppering” fra Gaza-striben – at bygge og udvide bosættelserne på Vestbredden.

57 år efter at staten Israel blev skabt, overvejende på land tømt ved etnisk udrensning af de palæstinensiske ejere, er flertallet af palæstinensere flygtninge, de fleste statsløse.

Endvidere forbliver Israels veletablerede system af racediskrimination mod dets egne arabisk-palæstinensiske borgere intakt.

I lyset af Israels vedholdende krænkelser af international lov, og da, siden 1948, hundreder af FN resolutioner har fordømt Israels politik med kolonisering og diskrimination som illegal, og krævet omgående, passende og effektive tiltag, og da alle former for international intervention og fredsmægling indtil nu ikke har kunnet overbevise eller tvinge Israel til at efterkomme humanitær lov, at respektere fundamentale menneskerettigheder og til at stoppe dets besættelse og undertrykkelse af Palæstinas folk, og i betragtning af at samvittighedsfulde mennesker i det internationale samfund historisk har påtaget sig det moralske ansvar at slås mod uretfærdighed som eksempelvis i kampen for at afskaffe apartheid i Sydafrika gennem diverse former for boykot, investeringsafvikling og sanktioner, og inspireret af sydafrikanernes kamp mod apartheid og af international solidaritet, moralsk konsekvens og modstand mod uretfærdighed og undertrykkelse, efterspørger vi, repræsentanter for det palæstinensiske civilsamfund, at de internationale civilsamfunds organisationer, og samvittighedsfulde mennesker over hele verden iværksætter omfattende boykots af og gennemfører investeringsafviklings initiativer mod Israel, som dem, der blev påført Sydafrika under apartheid æraen.

Vi appellerer til Jer om at lægge pres på Jeres respektive lande for at indføre embargoer og sanktioner mod Israel.

Vi inviterer også samvittighedsfulde israelere til at støtte denne appel af hensyn til retfærdighed og virkelig fred.

Disse ikke-voldelige straffeforanstaltninger bør opretholdes, indtil Israel opfylder dets forpligtelse til at anerkende det palæstinensiske folks umistelige ret til selvbestemmelse og fuldt ud retter sig efter international lovs forskrifter ved at:

1. Stoppe dets besættelse og kolonisering af al arabisk jord og nedrive Muren.

2. Anerkende Israels arabisk-palæstinensiske borgeres fundamentale rettigheder til fuld ligestilling

3. Respektere, beskytte og fremme de palæstinensiske flygtninges ret til at vende tilbage til deres hjem og ejendom som bestemt i FN resolution 194.
